Following a passion for health and science, Lisa received a Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1986. The call to facilitate health and healing for others led her to pursue a license in Massage Therapy, which she received in 1988. As a life-long learner, her post-licensure education includes Sports Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Orthopedic Massage.
In 2005, Lisa began teaching at the Myotherapy Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her drive to elevate the educational level of massage therapists keeps her motivated to continue her education as well, as she is actively involved with the American Massage Therapy Association and the Alliance for Massage Therapy Educators.
