Upon enrolling in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lisa chose a double major in Psychology/Sociology primarily because a Psychology/Physical Education would straddle the “arts and science” college and teachers college. Fortunately, she followed her passion throughout her college career and earned BA's in Psychology/Sociology and an MS in Family Wellness, blending the body/mind/spirit concepts.
As many massage therapists will tell you, their career in this field found them on their way to somewhere else. This is also true for Lisa. The world of massage therapy was opened up to her thanks to an apprenticeship at Lincoln Massage Center. Once she attended her first American Massage Therapy Association’s National Convention in 1987, she realized that this incredibly rich and challenging path was her's to follow.
"Everything you need to know is inside you."
Lisa empowers her clients and students to find their own way through their
healing process. With a wide spectrum of modalities, Lisa is able to meet you where you're at. Everyone requires individual attention, assessment, and guidance. The end result is a session that tunes in to your specific needs at a particular time.
As an Instructor at the Myotherapy Institute, Lisa continues to find opportunities to share her experience and knowledge with students entering the massage world.
